FlugTag

FLUGTAG

Flug in German means Air and Tag means the day. On this very day people celebrate the air day by an air show

Flying is such an interesting fact. So many times as children we would have just tied mamas veil around our neck and wrist and tried to fly by flapping hands. I am sure most of us loved doing it, girls imagined themselves as angels or butterflies and boys doting themselves as Super man.
Even today when we hear an aircraft on the sky we see kids being ecstatic about it.Certainly this would not only be the sound of the flight that gets them so much excited, but something to do with the fact of flying.

Just to capture these blithe people celebrate the Air Day all across the world at various occasions. I guess this would also be one of the ways to remember all the great legends who tried to invent the air planes. The great legend Leonardo Da Vinci in 1948 made the first real studies of flight and produced drawings of primitive flying machines. A light hang glider and a machine resembling a helicopter were just two among many.

During Flugtag the same legacy is carried forward, where participants exhibit their wired creations expecting it would fly. This indeed is so much of fun to see, where these mean machines drown them just after a few meters of flight.

Take a glimpse of it through this video:

This was the air show for you. Meet you next with a FiFa Mirror over the weekend, till then Bye- Bye from Bookmysport.

FIFA Fan Mirror 1

What an experience to watch this FIFA world cup.

We all like sports in general but Football world cup is unique in every aspect. It’s a high voltage drama which takes the entire globe in its wave. It is fun to stay up the entire night to see those goals. Let’s have a quick summary of a couple of stories yielding around this drama :

 # We have an old couple who are in their mid-70’s from Calcutta ready to go to Brazil to witness their 12th world cup match. They say it’s just not possible for them to miss such a thrill live at the stadium. That’s what we mean when we at book my sport say experience the “Be There” feeling, as this feeling is not only enthralling but always unforgettable.

# Athithi Devo bhavo. The guests are god. So obviously their demands have to be fulfilled. Let’s take a peek into the demands that some teams have:
Team demands at World Cup hotels
Team
Special Requirement
Uruguay
Silent air conditioning
Portugal
A computer console in every room
Algeria
A copy of the Quran in every room
Japan
Jacuzzi in every room
France
Liquid soap instead of the bar type of soap
Ecuador
Ecuadorian bananas in every room

Humn, I wonder if the computer console has got something to do with the poor sportsmanship of the Portuguese team.

Well this is it for now will get back to you the next Saturday with some more peek on FIFA with a different angle. Till Then bookmysport says tchau. Do see our blog on a random sport the next Wednesday.

Have you heard of the term 'FlyBoarding'? No?

Well, that's alright.. I'm pretty sure after you read this blog you'll get all the info you need..

(Take a moment to look at the image above) I can just imagine your face going wow! what in the world is that?

Well folks, thats FlyBoarding!

What is FlyBoarding?
A Flyboard is a type of water jetpack attached to a personal water craft (PWC) which supplies propulsion to drive the Flyboard through air and water to perform a sport known as flyboarding.
Built by water sports enthusiast Franky Zapata, from Marseille, the wearer straps his/her feet into shoes that are attached to powerful water jets, providing liftwith hand-guided nozzles stabilising the flight.

Now that's just a definition, your maybe wondering how it works?

Just take a moment to go through the image and you'll get the exact idea of how it works.

The basic flyboard comes in at 4200 pounds(4,29,746 Indian Rupees). Yeah it's pretty expensive but once you get the hang of it, its possible to jump incredible heights upto 30 feet above the water.

FIFA in the air!

Hey Guys FIFA is in and we have caught in the mood too.  At least for few days from now we shall be on it. But I must tell you in advance this is not going to be the match update or the player update. This is going to be a mirror update where mirror is FIFA.  IT is our image or reflection you may say with a big gigantic mirror called FIFA.

To begin with:

# how does it sound going to FIFA for a study tour. Well it all happens in India. We  have a
group of Ministers from Goa going on a study tour for FIFA. Wow Goa it’s always
happening.

#surely the new adiddas add with legends and there latest best players playing is a treat to
our eyes. My pals are crazy they just keep rewinding the video and watch it on and on. Its
indeed worth it.

# Girls wearing short black dresses and high heels well don’t let your imagination awry .
These girls in the video are not showing off their well sculpted body but the crazy tactics of
football.Thats what I call as a heel affair.

#the football haircut I am sure none of us could have given it a miss. Right from the Indian
Captain to my corporate office colleagues everyone is sporting this cut.  This makes me say
that football is not only in air but also on everybody’s hair. With so much of passion and
lover for this game it makes me say “All in One Rhythm”.
